Staying Up Late

Tonight Ella stayed up past bedtime and watched a little tv with daddy

Six Months!

Wow, we made it half a year!! Ella turned six months yesterday, but we have been battling a cold so waited until today to celebrate. The weather was gorgeous so we spent time outside with the dogs.

Ella loves the dogs and will try to talk to Marley. She also starts giggling whenever she sees him. I guess bc he's such a funny dog :)

Family Pool Day

My sister Ally is visiting from Denver so we had a family pool day today!

Ella had a great time hanging out with everyone and she got to try out her new pool float.

 She kicked a bunch while in the float and could move herself around the pool :)

Ella Lately

Ella has been getting in lots of playtime, tummy time and sitting practice! She has been trying so hard to crawl and is getting good at sitting (for a few seconds) by herself.

She's also been practicing her texting ;)

Ella Sleeping in her Room

Last week we started putting Ella to sleep in her own room. I had no idea it would be so hard on me! For the past 5 months she has been in a Pack and Play next to our bed, so I could hear all the little noises she makes and listen to her breathing at night. She is getting too big for the pack and play, so it is definitely time for her to move to her own room, but I miss having her sleep next to me :)

Family Beach Trip

This weekend we went to Port Aransas with Chad's cousins for the Labor Day holiday. We had so much fun with everyone! We had 4 little girls there and it was the cutest thing ever to see Lyla and Shea playing and helping with the babies.

The weather was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time at the beach. Ella and Raena did fantastic and both loved the water. We set up a pack-n-play under the tent for them and they enjoyed playing together and napping. 

Maybe the babies had a little bit too much fun at the beach ;)

After lots of beach fun we had a shrimp boil and root beer floats (which Lyla called "river floats"!)
